We had a Game Show Night at our school last fall. We started out by playing "Let's Make A Deal". Since it had been 30 years or so since I watched "Let's Make a Deal" as a kid, I did some research on the web and came up with five or six "Let's Make a Deal" games. I used the 4'x6' foam boards you can buy at OfficeMax for my game boards, and for curtains 1,2 or 3 we used boxes. The kids had fun playing it, and the audience had fun telling the contestant whether to stick with the prize or trade it for the box.
Then we played "Cartoon Jeopardy" using questions from Disney movies. One of the teachers had a Powerpoint Presentation which we used a projector to show on the screen, it looked and works like the real game. We had 3 teams of 2 kids each, but I guess I made the questions too hard since there were quite a few nobody could answer.
Then we endeed the night playing the "Schoolywed Game", but we had 4 teams of a student and their parent. This went really well, everybody in the audience paid attention and there were the usual contestant questioning why the other person answered the way they did.
I would suggest that you do just two of the games, three got really hectic. I would be glad to share my files, I just am at a different computer so I do not have the files handy right now.
We charged $2.00 a person just to cover costs. We sell concession at cost, rounded up to the nearest quarter. We had it on a Friday night from 6:30 till 9:00.
We had kids from the audience participate, we picked their names randomly, everybody whose name was picked wanted to play.
