Hi and Welcome!

As mentioned, there is a lot of great information that you can find on this site. The search feature (on the left nav bar) can be a big help.

I also would strongly recommend joining PTO Today Plus - Plus Info . Plus is like AAA for parent groups. Plus members get a number of great resources including one of our expert guides. We offer a PTO Start-Up expert guide which would be perfect for your school.

Good Luck!

Mike

There is alot of information available on the PTO Today website.
You could also contact your State's PTA office, they can give lots of information.
either PTA or PTO; it's most important to get the parents involved.
To get them to come out, give them a reason;
let them know what's on the agenda, bring in a speaker, maybe offer some child supervision while the meeting is going on.

I am in charge of the parenting center at our school. I need to start a PTO, how do I get parents to come to the meets each month?
