Family Movie Night Successful

18 years 7 months ago #119935 by michmom
We had our first family movie night this past Friday and it went over great. Admission for free with donated food item (for local food bank) or they could pay a minimal fee ($1 per family with our pto card or $5 w/o). We signed up a few families this night.

We showed Polar Express with a 15 min. intermission. We sold Popcorn for .25 and soda for .50 a glass. Water cooler was free. We couldn't keep up on the popcorn, need to start that way eariler than 45 min. We also sold candy at intermission and this was a BIG hit. M&M's, snickers mostly.

There was a lot of clapping at the end of the movie so I think everyone enjoyed it. People were suggesting that we do this once a month, etc. We showed the movie in our Gym.
Can't wait to have another one!
