Jag -- Sorry for the delay in my response. I was on vacation for 2 weeks :). Our Reading Under the Stars program was very successful. Here is an excerpt from the flyer we sent to parents:
_________________________________________________
Have your child bring a blanket and a flashlight to Willow Field Elementary School on Friday, October 8th at 6:30PM to explore two of the most fascinating aspects of our daily lives: the weather and the stars!!

Meet Dave Longley Meteorologist, from News Channel 9 who will talk to the children about the weather and actually produce a forecast for the evening.

Also weather permitting, Ray Dague, local astronomer will inform us through the use of telescopes about the stars and planets! A short story will be included in the program.

Due to limited space and mature content, this program will be offered to 3rd –6th grade children only.

Pre-registration required – fill out the form below and return to your child’s teacher no later than Monday, September 27th.
