When we have ours indoors in the multipurpose room we don't set up chairs. The families just bring their blankets and such and sit on the floor. Our outdoor movie nights are held in our outdoor amphitheater. Ours is free for the families.

We have the same issue. We just sold a limited number of tickets. If you tell people well in advance that there are a limited number of tickets, then those who really want to go will buy their tickets early, and those who wait realize they are taking a risk waiting. There's always a family or two who call the chairperson begging to be let in, and sometimes people call to "turn in" tickets they can't use at the last minute. It's better to limit the tickets and have a nice event for those who plan early, than to cram too many people into too little space.

Anyone who had a movie night how did deal with any capacity issues? We would like to have it in our cafeteria which holds about 200-250 if we have seats lined up. Our school has about 550 students. How did any of you deal with this? Can we pre- sell tickets to families to know the attendance? We do have a multi purpose room that we could also use and show the movie in both if we have too. But it still helps to know how many to plan for how have other school handled this? Any suggestions would be helpful.
