we will actually be doing this for the first time . . .we're inviting all our new families to come half and hour earlier to the first PTO meeting of the year for an ice cream social. Our principal created an "Ambassador" program where current families will be teamed up with new families for their first year . ..kind of like a support system for them.
Looking for ways to drum up attendance at meetings and get more parents to join PTO. We thought of doing an Ice Cream Social that would coincide with our General PTO Meeting. Has anyone tried this. I would love some feed back. We are a K -5 elementary school with 1200 students. Plus how did you go about doing it.
