Coincidentally, I was just looking at a popcorn maker for our msuic parents group. There are quite a few for sale on e-bay. Looks like most are from stores. You might want to check there just to see all the different kinds. I had a good response when I looked under "popcorn machines". Lots of variation in prices. There's a really nice looking one that makes 8 oz. priced at $430 right now.
We've never owned one and I would love to buy one to use for basketball concessions, field day and for class rewards, etc. I was looking at the samsclub.com website and I saw two different ones that looked interesting:
1) Econo 8 model-$537.67; pops 8 oz. every 3.5 minutes (how many servings is that?? eight?)
2) PopMaxx $727.43 makes 12-14 oz. every 3.5 minutes.
I noticed they sell popcorn bags that are 1 oz. so I guess the PopMaxx would make 12-14 servings in 3.5 minutes?
Does anyone have any feedback on any of these? I have no idea how big of one we need?
