I would just state that beverages will be available to purchase and then add something like this:
Admission is free, but please bring a snack to share.

I've only lurked on this board so far but have learned alot of valuable things. Thank you so much for all your advice. Our school is planning a family Bingo night later in January. It is for grades pre k-6. It will not be a fundraiser, just a fun time for everyone (we will sell soda for .50/can and juice boxes for .25/box, that's all). We have prizes that have been donated and also prizes from our cookie dough sale and plan on every child winning a prize. The mom who is running it does Bingo for Birthday parties and has an awesome way of doing it. It's our first not for profit just fun event and we're excited. My question is we would like everyone to bring a snack or baked good to share with everyone. We figure that will be their admission. Any ideas on how to word this in the flyer I'm getting ready to send out. I'm not quite sure what to say. Thanks in advance for you suggestions/ideas and once again thanks to all of you who share your ideas and time to help others.
