If there are Family Dollar or Dollar General stores in your area, they usually have a selection of reader books at a dollar each. They are step books according to grade levels. My son loves them.

There is an application process for both
Title I schools are eleigible for the free books but not to purchase books.
We haven't order anything yet (the availability is sporadic) so I don't know any details beyond registering.

It's a discount warehouse with a wide range of books from a variety of publishers (including some Scholastic).

What they sell is all new books, but you may not find a specific title. So it's best if you have a range of titles or authors.

They oftern run "Children's Booksale" with
10 books for only $15.00
20 books for only $25.00
50 books for only $50.00
100 books for only $75.00

They also usually have promotional codes that give a few dollars off (like $5 of $25 order).

We are having a Bingo for Books night and I am needing to purchase 100-200 books for prizes. Other than Scholastic, are there any places you recommend to get inexpensive K-5 books?
