Donuts with Dad - Good Success

Day 2 of Donuts with Dads, another success!!!

We had a Krispy Kreme fundraiser last Friday, and we ordered extra for this event. The donuts we sold more than paid for the dad's event and all the beverages. We offered milk, apple juice, and sunny d, plus McDonalds donated a container of coffee with cups, sugar, creamer, etc. Our total profit now looks to be around $900.And this wasn't an official fundraiser.

All we did was send a half-page flier home and hope for the best. We did offer the library for story reading, but not many took advantage of that. We ran it from 7:30 til school started at 8:10 for our k-3 and from 7:20 til 7:50-8:00 at our 4th and 5th grade school.

We always seem to get our best responses from programs offering free food. But we didn't do anything different than things I've seen on here.

Can you give details on what you did? I've read all the info on the boards, just wondering if you did something different.

I am happy to report that our first ever Donuts With Dads was a SMASHING success. We had over 175 kids with dads or other signifiant male join us this morning.
I was a tad bit worried because you never know with these things, but I am now so happy. We'll see what happens at our second school(4th and 5th) tomorrow.

We held our first Donuts with Dad on Saturday. We had a good success. We were at limit in the cafeteria (240 people).

We charged $2.00 per family. In our school if you don't charge, the families who confirm don't show.

Thanks for all the topics out there on this. Cheers to all the good discussion of activities to everyone who posts.

Thanks

Scott
