OKay Tiner you asked and here's your wish. We had our third fall festival last Thursday night from 6;30-8:00. Our festival consisted of games, a bean bag throw game, a spider fishing game(this is a stuff spider with velcro on his feet on a pole trying to catch assorted pieces in a tub..no water) a ring toss game (we have a wooden one that they try to get ghosts with rope rings), pumkin bowling(use kids pins), a ball game (this is also wooden that has nails like a pin ball game and they have to get it in a slot), a find the behavior game(giant kids pool filled with shredded paper with little behavior cards in it...you know like the needle in the haystack thing).
Then we had four people doing face painting, two doing balloon animals. We had four craft tables where they did the web painting with the marble, a spider out of egg cartons, a paper scarecrow face (on a paper plate) and a spider bracelet. For snacks we had make your own trail mix, frost and decorate your own donut , and worms in dirt.
What we do is we do not charge any admission at any of our family nights. as each child comes in they get a ticket that untitles them to each station, they are allowed three prizes but can play as much as they want. Each station marks their station on the ticket. We ended with about 259 kids and alot of grown ups(they must come with one). Our school has about 457 kids and is k-6.We try to keep everything in one area (its inside) and if we had any more we would have to break it up into different locations. Problem with that is I dont think its fair that volunteers couldnt see their kids having fun while they work!
One year we did a scavenger hunt with clues that was cool. I hope this helps you some, it is a great family event and now we are getting ready for our family craft night in less than a month...yikes!!! Good Luck!
