Our school has a Chili Cook-Off every January.
We send out flyers to the whole school for entries in the contest. We have about 25 crockpots full of chili entered. The judges come from various places such as the local firestation. 1st. place $75.00 2nd. place $50.00 and 3rd. place $25.00. The judges received gift bags with Rolaids and Tums. The PTA provides drinks. There is a $3.00 charge for a bottomless bowl. It is covered by the newspaper with the winning receipt printed. It has been won by the principal one year and two sixth grade girls another. Good Luck
