You're referring to a volunteer pledge program. The basic idea is that parents are more willing to volunteer if you ask them for a limited number of hours. It can be very powerful for building involvement. 3 for me is a National PTA program. Our pledge program is called 2 Hour Power. You can download all the forms and info for free here:
