Hi, I would be happy to answer questions you may have regarding the parent insurance options available as part of PTO Today's "PTO Today Plus" offering. More than 1,000 groups currently get their insurance through this program.

Here's our description of D&O: Directors' & Officers' Liability Insurance (D&O) – Your board members are responsible for making decisions and running your group. Any one of your board members can be sued personally for a decision made by your group. D&O insurance protects board members if a "mismanagement" or "misrepresentation" claim is filed. $1,000,000 per claim, $1,000,000 aggregate limit per parent organization, and $10,000,000 annual aggregate limit for the Purchasing Group.

We do also offer General Liability, Accident Medical, Fidelity Bond and Property Insurance. You can find detailed information about each and the coverage amounts at the follow link: www.ptotoday.com/insurance/

If you would like to discuss further please call us at 800-557-2670 #5.

I'm trying to research Insurance Options for our PTO.

Just a bit of history: In the past there was the liability insurance on the officers and in 2006 it was done away with as an un-needed expense. Then in Spring 2010, the treasurer was caught embezzling money. Now were are trying to restructure the PTO to what it should be.

My question is - how many groups out there have Liablity on all of their officers?

And would you have your group bonded we generally have approx $4 -$6000 in the account with peaks when fundraisers are deposited before paying the bill.

If you have went with insurance, what company did you go with? Having trouble finding someone in WI?!?! And my personal insurance rep, doesn't deal with PTO insurance.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.
