Confused-
As caringptomom said, it's a little tough to advise without knowing the details of what took place over the year. This past Tim's Tip may provide some helpful suggestions:

What do you mean your embracement has been false? What types of slanderous comments have been made? What ideas and types of things have you offered to volunteer for that have been rejected? Have you attended the PTA/PFC meetings? Have you addressed your concerns with the principal? At this point, it looks like you are disenchanted with your school's parent club and don't know what to do. Are you looking for advice or just venting? Can you shed more light on the situtation(s)?

new to PTO - Eager/Excited not embraced was created by Confused
My wife and I are parents of a kindergartner and had been very active in the PTO at our daughters pre-school. We came in with open minds and eager hands to help with ideas and signing up to help. After our first year we have learned that while we were originally embraced with open arms that it was all false and there is a clear power strong hold by one to three of the mothers. there is also an alliance with the principle that makes it difficult when addressing any issue. We have found numerous cases of slanderous comments as well as out right lies about us.

So understanding that we are new K parents how do we best approach this situation with out digging our hole deeper?
