Hi Tammie-
Your paw print idea is really cute. Great visual to show kids where they are relative to their goal!

Here's an article about one school's reading challenge that may give you some ideas:

Also, here's a thread that was started a long time ago that has some great ideas:

Hope this helps,

Hi, My Name is Tammie and I am the PTO president at our school and we are looking into expanding our AR incentives to include Accelerated Math. I was wondering if any schools do prizes for achievements in Acc. Math? How you organize and what they are?
For AR we have the walls in our library decorated with paw prints (we are Huskies) if they reach their quarterly goal they get their name on a paw and up it goes, right now we are halfway wrapped around our Library its awesome!!! We also give prizes out for different point levels achieved.
This is how we reward for AR
25pts - sticky hand
50pts - licorice and a bookmark
100pts - 100 point Club T-shirt
150pts - Free weekly friday snack
200pts - Lunch with the Principal
300pts - $5 to Barnes and Noble
400pts - Principal for a Day
500pts - $10 to Barnes and Noble
600pts - Librarian for the day w/ Lunch
700pts - $15 to Barnes and Noble

Besides looking for ideas on how to organize and do awards for AR Math I would love to hear what kinds of things you do to award reading in your schools???
