It's not fancy, but we just paint a sheet or a couple yards of canvas and hang that on our fence. We don't have to deal with hurricanes, but we've had great luck with this approach, even through strong spring storms. I don't think we'd invest in the special cups. At least with a $5 banner, our investment is minimal.
I agree the plastic drinking cups would be less expensive but the kids LOVE pushing those out. These ( put in cups) appear to snap in and are much more difficult to remove. Also, with the threat of hufficanes plastic cups will not stay in long. I am wondering if the expense would out weigh my time to contantly be replacing misiing/lost/stolen plastic cups.
Have you tried just using colored plastic party cups ( like solo brand)...a teenager in the neighborhood did this ask a girl out to prom.... it would probably be a lot cheaper....
For indoor use, I know that the inks used in certain printers have changed a lot in the last few years. They are becoming more compatible for archiving. Is the company that is producing your banner's using the latest available technology. It won't hurt to ask expected lifetime of the banner and Put-in-Cups before purchasing.

I was thinking about purchasing some of these instead of banners to build awareness about the boxtop program we run thru the year. The banners we have outside fade and although they are held on with tie wraps, they do break loose and the banner flaps for a few days before I can secure it again. Since we are in South Florida, the banners also fade very quicky.
I would love to hear if anyone has any experience with this company.
