A gift that would make any teacher smile!
Have your child decorate a lunch box with acrylic paints, permanent gel pens or stickers.
Write the words "Teacher's Survival Kit" on the front. Fill the lunch box with the following items and a card with
a label explaining the significance of each item.

Bottle of glue - to hold your class together

Starburst candy -When you need a "BURST" of energy.

6" Ruler -success is sometimes measured
in inches, not feet.

Box of Band-Aids -when things get a little rough.

Box of crayons-color your day in bright shades
when it seems gray and dismal.

Eraser-even the largest mistakes can be erased.

Puzzle piece-without your assistance and care,
learning is a puzzle.

Shiny penny-each of your students
will shine in their own way.

You could buy coffee cups or mugs from the dollar store and fill them with candy or pencils, chalk, post it notes, etc. Wrap them in clear or colored cellophane. We did that at the beginning of the year as welcome back to school gifts.

You can put fresh flowers in the teacher lounge or on their desks. A company called Positive Promotions has beautiful vases that say, "Thanks for helping students Bloom." I bought some for teachers and staff appreciation week.

You could also get volunteers to come in help make copies for the teachers or help them organize their rooms or whatever else they need help with.

You could get the children involved and have them make cards, pictures, write poems, etc.

You could have breakfast and lunch for the teachers.

You could have a nail technician come in and give manicures. The possibilities are endless! This May we are having a luau for our teachers and staff. I can't wait.

 OK - so a good idea would have been to double-check that Disney link for you since it's been a while and they've changed their website. So...if you click that link I gave you it will re-direct you to Disney's page and you can put in Teacher Appreciation. It will come up with a list of articles and ideas you can scan through. I hope some of that helps.

Hi everyone! I was recently appointed in charge of ideas for appreciation weeks for our elementary staff. What our elementary does is focus on one particular facualtly type, like kindergarten teacher week, cooks week and first grade teacher week. I had a few ideas i used like mini popcorn bags with a note stating "just poppin' in to say you're appreciated". I also used tootsie rolls stating "just for the important "roll" you play in our students lives.
But i could use some more ideas if anyone is willing to share!
Thanks so much!!
