We had our first meeting last night and we had a good turnout, of course you always want more. We seem to getting into this problem of getting those kindergarten parents and our group being five years old is now starting to lose the regulars to moving up, it is going to be a long haul for years to come if they dont step up! Gotta push push push. Tonight is our Block Party and it is pouring out...guess it is going to be an lunchroom party...hee hee

In our elementary school we have a small spirit store. We have ALOT of glass paperweights left over and was wondering if anyone could help me come up with suggestions to get rid of them. We have been selling them for over a year now and anyone who wanted one, bought one. We don't want to use them as staff gifts but any other suggestions would greatly be appreciated!!

Thanks

Congrats vm3. Nice job!

Are you using our Family Reading Night kit for your FRN? Hope so. If not, check out: www.schoolfamilynights.com -- the free kit has tons of good ideas and tools.

Good luck with all you've got on your plate.

Wow, spent all day yesterday with a feeling of dread about the PTO meeting that night. Lost all of my PTO helpers except two. Had a good turn out for our school. I also wanted to add family nights without losing the ones we already do!

We do a soup supper, Christmas Store, and Movie Night and Teacher/Staff Celebration.

This year we have moved the soup supper to the night of the school play (music teacher is running the play) and added a PTO Arts Festival. We have added a McTeachers Night through McDonalds for the PTO. We added a Reading Night with a Winter Theme. We are selling school tee-shirts, first time in five years.

Reading Night, Christmas Store and Movie Night are not fundraisers!

Was glad to be able to add on to our events and not lose any!! Success!!
