Thank you so much. This info is AWESOME. I just printed it as well as the link for my husband. He started talking to several Dads at our k round up earlier this week. We have some very positive responses. I think the name he settled on was GLOVE guys lending our valuable/various experiences.

Our School District has just started a new "Dad's Club". Here an exerpt from an article at our district website I thought you might find interesting:

"Pflugerville MEN Inducted

Pflugerville ISD has developed a volunteer program that focuses on a male presence in our schools. MEN stands for Mentoring, Encouraging, and Nurturing our students. The participants have undergone background checks and have gone through training in working with students. Every campus in Pflugerville will have MEN volunteers.

We are currently looking for more volunteers. The MEN program is not restricted to only men with students in school. We encourage uncles, grandfathers, retired men, and community members to join us. For more information on how to join our group, contact MEN coordinator Randy Reese at 512-594-0093."

Randy is a great resource and he is always willing to help. You or your principal might want to give him a call as he has the by-laws etc.

Just wondering if anyone has a Dads club. Our principal has apprached my husband about starting one. It wold be great if we could hear others experiences on this.
