ihad2muchcoffee - Can you explain what "Gold, Silver & Bronze Members" are? This is referencing your school's volunteers?

We usually run a group photo of our PTO board in the yearbook, but this year, I'm using that space to put pictures of volunteers helping out at PTO events & activities. We list the names of all of our Gold, Silver & Bronze members, and we also list the names of the PTO board members.

Wow, we are having this discussion too, and we opted not to have our photo in the yearbook, even though we have a two year commitment.
I do love the idea of having a scrap book in the office though. I think I will follow threw on that one!

gotta love these message boards!

rac - we recruited a volunteer to be our PTO Historian this year. She takes lots of photos, is a scrapbooker, too. Other PTO volunteers also donate photos to her. We all try to catch any newspaper articles that mention out PTO and pass them on to her. One of our other Moms, a scrapbook consultant, donated the book. The PTO pays for supplies and some film (about $30 this year). It's a good way to get another parent involved who might not be inclined to lead a committee or works during the day.

Critter, I like the idea of a scrapbook near the front office. Maybe I'll try that for next year. I didn't really take any pictures of the events we already had, since I was to busy running around!! But for next year, I'll try to step aside to take some pictures.

We have a yearbook, but I'm not sure if anything is mention of the PTO. I haven't brought it yet, so I wouldn't know!

Life is crazy as it is, that's why I don't watch soap operas!! <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

We've never had a photo of the Board in our yearbook before, but this year, the Yearbook committee asked if they could take a photograph of the CHILDREN of the Board members. I think that's way more appropriate for a student yearbook, since our kids tend to get the short end of the stick ("sorry, you can't play on the computer because Mommy is typing the PTO minutes).

We started a PTO scrapbook this year that is more geared to photos of the adult volunteers. It's kept in the office/lobby for people to puruse.
