Can you send some of your magic my way? We have sent out notices that elections are coming up (ours are this month), and no response. As it stands right now, I am the only returning board member, and it is so very scary to think what next year will bring. I have personally asked a number of people to become involved, and have either gotten turned down flat or heard the old "maybe...we'll see...don't hold your breath" answer.
One posititve, though. We created a new position this year...Hospitality Coordinator (thanks Dianna for the idea!) and have filled that one. Yea!!
I can't believe it I sent out a letter last week announcing our officers and chairperson elections would be coming up in MAY.
IT said that although it may seem far off for next year that planning is essential for the progress of our school and students. It had the form to fill out and return for any position(s) that they were interested in.
This is the thing I think helped the most on the back I listed all the committees and what they were responsible for.
So far I have 6 replies which is AWESOME for us and some had interest in more than one thing. I am so excited and I think my efforts in saying how much fun being part of the PTO and doing well for the students is rubbing off.
Just wanted to toot my own horn. But thought maybe some of you could use the idea. :cool:
