I sure feel your pain. I've decided to suck it up and do 2 more years. We have a hand full of really good volunteers but no one will take the leap to be on the board.
My two year stint as President is soon coming to an end. In the last 2 years we have had record breaking results. The first year we raised over $100,000. We changed the way we did things and people really got behind us. However, this year I said we needed to have fun and less fundraising. We cut out alot of little things, constantly said NO to suggestions of adding this event or that event and just did things that were fun and sometimes free. We are still having a great year.
Here is my problem. Now that I am stepping down. No one will step up. I am tired, need a break and it's time for some of the "newbies" to start volunteering.
Do any of you have creative ideas to get people involved. I am mad and frustrated by the number of people that will not volunteer at all.
I am hopeful that some of you have some creative ideas we could build on.
