DUH!!!! I totally forgot to tell you what I thought was a really cool thing we are doing for the teachers. We are a very small school so it shouldn't be too difficult. We are sending home a "take-home" meal. We provide salad, meal, drinks, and dessert for a teacher to take home and enjoy a no cooking dinner.
I think that is really cool. The parents tell me the teachers absolutely LOVED it last year.

We are working with somewhat of a theme based on a vase we bought for our teachers. Thanks for helping us bloom. The kids are all going to bring in one flower on Monday morning for the teacher to create a bouquet for her. PTO is buying some small grocery store ones for the misc. teachers like music, gym, etc.... We are doing a big luncheon where we serve them. We are decorating their doors with flowers that the kids will fill out about what they like about their teacher. We are decorating the school bulletin board with flowers where the teachers pictures will be the center dot of the flower and will have "Teachers help our students bloom" on it. Tuesday we are doing a baked potato bar luncheon and doing some trinket maybe a potpourri bag in spring fabric???? Wed. we are doing a breakfast for them. Thurs. we are doing a coffee bar for them with either a cake or chocolates added to it with a banner reading "Thanks A Latte!" Fri. we have no school. We are also looking at getting them a small bird feeder and on Thurs. the table dec. which are lots of flowers in pots will be given to the teachers as gifts.
I think that is it for our plans. Boy I hope none of our teachers know about this board

I hope this helps. Also, I can't speak for all schools, but the chocolate candy seemed to be favored at ours.

Instead of buying individual gifts, we hold a themed luncheon and purchase a gift for the entire staff... last year, we bought 2 new microwave ovens for the teacher's lounge.
