We just took over this task from our principal. Parents were getting tired of donuts all the time. We are also serving muffins, croissants, yogurt, fruit, tea and juice. Is a bag of flavored coffee from Starbucks too much? The officers don't drink coffee so what is the best flavor to go with? We know we can't please everyone but we wanted something a little special.
Hey thanks for input....We are getting some decorations that party store sold to us at a discount and we are serving bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, coffee, juice and milk with all the fixins and I believe someone is making a breakfast casserole..
Easy would be muffins, croissants, donuts, fresh fruit, yogurt, flavored coffees and teas, milk, and juice.
If you want to get a bit more elaborate you could pick up some frozen waffles, bring in toasters to heat them and serve a selection of flavored syrups, fruit toppings, whipped cream, chocolate chips, etc. Add the coffee, tea, juice and maybe some muffins and fresh fruit for those who don't want to indulge that deeply for breakfast.
Got some parents that are really insane? How about a pancake breakfast?
Decorations? Have kids make tissue flowers to arrange in bouquets and lots of red and pink construction paper hearts that they write cute messages on(kind of like conversation hearts). Add Valentine motif plates, cups and napkins and you're set.
Let the childen make decorations out of construction paper. If your budget allows, pick up some heart napkins, plate, red cups and maybe a table cloth.
WalMart has excellant biscuits in the freezer section. They also have breakfast sausage patties and scrambled egg patties. They are all very tastey (serve them to my family all the time). This would be quick and easy. You could pre-assemble the egg/sausage biscuit or place them in warmers and go buffet style. Add some cheese.
