We encourage parents of "two homes" to check-out the web site for info, and when asked about invovling Dads I let them know they are always welcome for lunch with their child(ren). Nothing is more fun than to watch your son's eyes pop when Dad comes in for lunch! This simple hour long visit can be so huge!!

There's always the trusty Donuts with Dad. Or what about a sports night with dad. Games, concessions all run by dads. IF you ask them they will come.
But I think for the meetings its just not going to happens at least at ours it hasn't either.

At the PTO Today Conf. in Sac. I attended Rich Linden's class. He gave great ideas for getting dad's involved. He was AWESOME!!! A great idea that he shared was having a Dad's week at school. He said to have the dads do everything. No moms allowed. It's ok to let the dads fail. They were there to greet and open doors in the a.m. They volunteered in the library, in classes, duty, lunch, coping, etc. It has led to a dad's club that meets for food. Oh, that was the other thing.......Dads need food!!! If you have food, they will come.
