Event FOOD???

Does it need to be a meal? How about just some pastries and baked goods? Plus coffee and juice. We do this for all our meetings and it's pretty inexpensive if you look for sales (Little Debbie's on a platter look just as good as homemade!). You can also ask for donations this way, some people just love to bake!

The 3 foot subs are a great idea. Subway's are awesome but can run pretty expensive. I recently hosted an event and wanted those subs. I called around and found that the Super Wal-marts (the ones with grocery stores) will do a 3 foot sub for only $27 - this has 2 or 3 meats plus cheese. They'll put the lettuce/tomatoes either on the sandwich or in a separate container. They will keep them whole (all 3 feet) or slice them up ahead of time (which is what I did so they would fit in my fridge - I had to get them the night before)...anyway...just thought I'd pass this information on - it's a great deal. You can get 3 three foot subs from Wal-mart for the price of one from Subway.

We have bought those 3 foot Subway subs and cut them into smaller sandwiches. It works really well for a crowd - do a ham, turkey and veggie with a bag of chips and juice or soda. You can make the sandwiches smaller than they recommend and it's still a good meal.

We have also used our district food service to cater events. They can do everything from hot dogs to barbeque at a reasonable price.

Our school is planning is a literacy night to make parents aware of reading to their kids. Its a workshop and how to incoperate it in different activities. There are going to be two sessions on right after school and another at 6:00.
The principal asked if we could provide pizza or something for the parents and kids in between the sessions.
I would like other ideas than the pizza I am so pizzad out with the events. Our Movie night is the week before and were having it then too.

Any suggestions.
