God bless you...I'm up in the northern part of Louisiana and I have some Slidell evacuees living next door and attending our city schools. To add insult to injury, when Hurricane Rita came through, it uprooted a tree that smashed their car!

Hurricane Katrina destroyed our school in Slidell, Louisiana. We had seven feet of water in two buildings; the third, three feet. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Our flood policy only covers $50,000 worth of insurance. To rebuild our school will cost in excess of $1 million. Our school is platooning with another school in Slidell. Our children attend school at night. (Pre-K-8) Then entire parish was flooded by storm surge.
In an effort to help raise money, we are holding a nation-wide box top drive. It is our hope other PTOs will adopt us as a service project and either send us their box tops or, better, the checks they receive after surrendering their box tops.
