Our school currently doesn't do anything and our volunteers are already do burnt out with having to bake and make meals for conferences and so on. I want to do something special for our staff but I don't want to get stuck pyaing for it like I do everything else. Any sugegstions on how to get food donated from business? And what kind of business do I go to, to ask for help?

Oh boy, this was the exact question I posed last year! We never have given a Christmas party because our teachers had a years-long tradition of having a really nice event at a local country club(including spouses) and you paid a fee to come. Well, it sort of got priced out of everyone's price range and some teachers were rebelling and not going. Then, one of them came to our PTO and thought that we should pay for it (to the tune of thousands). We said no. But this year I think we're doing a simple lunch for them...probably with donated food.

Do any of you put on a Christmas Dinner or Lunch for your teachers? Does PTO pay for it or do you have volunteerst hat bring in things?

What do you do for your teachers during the Holidays?
