How do you document what you can't forsee?

18 years 8 months ago #114042 by my3strongtikes
I just wanted to say glad you resolved it at least. But also wanted to add that I have her twin at my school and she's running the Santa Shop and I cannt wait till it is over because this woman is just so totally whacked. None of the officers want her on anything again because no one wants to work with her. She's been bullying people around and not following any of the rules. And then when I tell her what needs to be done she tells everyone that I'm trying to run it. Well I am the pres and its my butt on the line if it goes wrong lady!!!!

SOrry had to vent too!!!

Wow was I mad

The good news is that woman has sworn she will never help the PTO raise funds again, so one positive thing came from the debacle. :D

ademom do you know my parent? you descibed her perfectly!!!

"She is so starved for personal recognition that it blinds her to logic, reason and her place in the world." I will be using that sentence, until its edges are tattered.

Seredipity, our principal (who is fantastic) did talk to her, she thinks I've turned him against her, although we know she did that all by herself.

I found this out about my crazy parent yesterday, two years ago she headed the committee to raise monies to build our playground. And she lobbyed to have the playground named after her daugther.
Would that thought even cross your mind?

Thanks for letting me vent.

Just an added thought...I do not know what your principal is like or what his/her thoughts are on this matter. We have an awesome principal who is a no nonsense type of person and he is ultra supportive and protective of us. He would have no problem handling this matter with the parent and putting and end to it. Is it possible your principal would speak with this parent to put and end to her?

If she used PTO Letterhead to get sponsor donations for the t-shirts, there is no way that is equal to her daughter getting the money as a donation. I do not care whether that is documented or not. The money has to either pay for the shirts or be a donation to the kid. Since the letters to the sponsors did not say please send money to support my child I would say she has no case. I would stand my ground and not let this woman get away with this. It is shameful. Tell her the purpose of the PTO is to help all children, not just your own.

I thought my school had the market cornered these types of women. So, if misery loves company, read on:

I am presently imbroiled in a huge fight with another parent because of an omission on an e-mail I sent. It was quite inintentional but somehow, I am being accused of having a
'personal vendetta' against her. She is so starved for personal recognition that it blinds her to logic, reason and her place in the world.
My name is now being dragged through the mud at every football field and venue where this woman can find an audience. I am indifferent to her rage, which I think makes her even madder. So be it...

Stand your ground, these sponsors willingly stepped up for all of the students at your school. As far as documentation, if she is so persisted that it goes under her daughters name ask her for documentation from the businesses saying they sponsored only her. Just for reference what kind of prizes are you giving that this lady would do this?
