Teacher Involvement At Your School

18 years 9 months ago #113789 by delron
I have been on our school's PTO board for 6 years. I am currently on my second term as PTO President. The PTO has never had luck in getting our teachers involved in anything we sponsor, including carnivals and general meetings. I have a hard time asking parents to get involved when we can't get teachers involved. In the past we have given our teachers grants. After doing some research I have found that several of the schools in our city ask the teachers to come to at least 1 PTO meeting and help with one event in order to receive their grant money. I am very interested in finding out what other schools do in order to get their teachers more involved in school events and meetings. And how much money do PTOs at other schools give their teachers as grants?
