We are trying something new this year and have put together a welcome back packet for the teachers. It includes a welcome letter from us, assembly request form, field trip funds request form, PTA survey results,
membership form and a calendar of events for the year.
We hope it has a positive response.

As a new pres. this year, I went on a personal level with the teachers and sent them a wish list to fill our along with a letter from me. I have those you want them. I wrote how I am always out and about looking for a bargain and if one comes my way I can pick things up for them. I know they work from 7:30-4pm and go home to thier own kids and then have to still correct papers and etc. Email me if you want copies of that.

Our strategy for the teachers this year:

1) We will be sending them their own newsletter, four times, which will contain our info that is most pertinent to them, instead of giving them one little corner of our regular newsletter.

2) We are really pushing our 'wish list' system, (in final development stages) to make sure that all teachers and staff understand that they all have funds alotted to get things through us and that things will be evaluated objectively and not 'politically'.

I am also encouraging them to fill out our volunteer form, in case they might want to help us out with events, etc.

If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down. <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>
