Jen i just have one question? Are you talking about MY PTO? laughing so hard because let me tell you I had this same trouble. Ladies got sooooo side track and I was not president I was just one that was a right hand and did everything. Until the one meeting that lasted NOT kidding 6 hrs. I look at them and told them all my free volunteer work was DONE. I did not come to hear this crap of so so did and so so didn't. Or did you hear. I came for 1 purpose and 1 purpose only. To help better my children's school where it needed the help. I was a tax paying parent, volunteer parent, and most of all I wanted to HELP. Needless to say when they voted me  for president one lady spoke up and said good something will get taken care of the way it should have long ago. Now the real true reason PTO is in effect will happen.

Just speak up girl don't let it go on. Put a stop on it now. Our first meeting was last month with me in charge fully. My first statement out of my mouth was " when i call the meeting to order ANYTHING said will be on record, so if we get side track and start talking about Jane or Bob did or didn't that will be noted and read at the next meeting. If it is something you DO NOT want on record then wait till we are done." I was so exicted no one got off track until we was done.

GOOD LUCK

Our Mission statement reads The mission of the PALS group is to Bring together as one unit the students, parents, staff and community for the better of all.
Promote the welfare of all children and youth in home, school and community.
Foster a closer realtionship between home and school so that parents and teachers may co-operate in a meaningful way in the education of children at Lanigan.

Hopes this helps, the main part is the first paragraph!

"When you stop learning you stop growing."

Hi, We are gearing up for a new year at our school, and have a board of newbies, (except one, our fearless leader.) We want to change the tone of our PTO group from a forum to ramble on and complain, to a fun and energetic group that wants to focus on giving our children the best possible learning experience. So, what I need is some examples of MISSION STATEMENTS. Any and all examples would be appreciated!!! Thanks, Jen
