Our Family Fun Night carnival is coming up next month and I'm chairing the basket raffle and silent auction portion of the event. I've received many donations from area businesses and am wondering about thank you notes. Is it best if they're on school letterhead or should they be hand-written? Is it best to wait until after the event is over so you can let them know how much the school raised, or send them upon receipt of the donation?
I've started hand-writing them, leaving a space for our $$ amount raised and holding on to them until after the event, but I certainly don't want businesses to think we're not appreciative or that we didn't receive the donation so I thought I should send thank yous as I receive donations.
