Get your liason and find some more parents that may help you. Go to a park or somewhere where the kids can play, pack a picnic it'll be a long one. Sit down and make goals and discuss ideas each of you have. Make an agenda for next year. If you have an Open House, Back to School Bash, or anything like that, get ahold of the sponsor and say "Hey we are going to be there with info to give to the parents."

yes there was a letter sent out to the parents of the children that would be attending that school next year that it was a pto meeting to disscus next years stuff and to vote for new officers,school is now out here for the summer,the principal gave me a number that he thought was her number and i have gotten no answer at it.
Were others aware that there was going to be elections? I wonder about the quorum being met to even conduct business. Have you tried speaking to other parents who may want to take a Board position?
Perhaps you can ask the principal to call the past Pres or send a note home with her child requeting a call back and the materials she has. If not you may need to mail her a letter- CC the Super and Principal so she knows that others are aware of your request.
see this is where i have another problem,when i went to the meeting where i was voted in there was only me and another woman present at the meeting.well i got president and she got liason,so there is no vice president or tresher or secretary or nothing.i have no idea who anyone is or anything.all the people that had seats this year are leaving the school or dropping their positions.so i am completely alone here,and if i cant get the former president to call me back i have no idea what to do.

well i had a meeting today,but it was with the principle this year and he is leaving,and we are having a new principle this coming year,so that didnt help me too much at all.i ask him if i am supposed to be doing anything this summer to get ready and he never really said anything ,just said there never has really been a big involvment here for pto.so i am still lost and have no ideas on what to do.
