re: Incentive classroom reward ideas for fundraiser

My kids love extra recess. Also fun days just for that class. Would you be able to arrange a short field trip for your class? At the elementary across the county they have a field trip to an area resort.

We've been offering $25 to the classroom as an incentive this year... we did this because we thought the teachers would respond more to it; surprisingly, it's been just as successful with the students! They really want that money so they can buy stuff for their class. All of the teachers who have won have allowed the students to vote on what the classroom needs... 1st grade classes who won voted to purchase board games, magnetix, and books; 4th graders went for books; fifth graders went for computer software.

Just an idea.

Disco party, extra gym time....you could also award the class with a supply basket for their room.

We offer incentives to the teachers whose classes meet their goals ($20 gift card of choice. Have you considered movie themed parties, extra recess/game time, renting an inflatable and letting each class have a set amount of time, or a cookout? I know every school is different. I hope some of those might help.

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

Does anyone have any fresh ideas for classroom
rewards for our Jog-A-Thon. Each year we
award all classes that meet their class $ goal
a pizza/movie/ice cream party. That has been
done to death! We are in frantic need of any
fun, new, motivating ideas. Help!!!! Any
thoughts are welcome. Thank you!
