If you are members of the NPN, you can go to the members-only section of this website and use their involvement survey. It is a great survey and a good way to find out who your members are and how they want to be involved.

I'd like to know what level of response those of you who have done surveys have gotten.

We have terrible response rates whenever we are seeking replies to anything. I'd bet we could offer $5 for each returned form and still only need to budget about $100 for that in our school of 1000. We might even make money when a few misread and think we are asking for $5.

We have thought about doing a survey before our last meeting to plan for next year, but worry about low participation.

If you don't expect too much from me, you might not be let down. <img src=images/smilies/smile.gif>

Recently an idea was posted about the PTO making a survey that would be passed to teachers and parents asking questions like Did you volunteer at the school why or why not, what would you like to see in the school, what would you like the PTO to do etc... The survey was a great idea!
If any one can tell me where I can get a copy of such a survey....please let me know. Our PTO is horrible. The lack of communcation, ideas etc...is non-existent. I would like to offer some ideas that I have seen on this GREAT site, one of them being this survey---
