How to set up a walk - a- thon

Actually the first thing that came tomy mind is this something you can work on with Coach? Offer parents a choice, hop or walk or both!
If not, first and foremost you need a calendar and a meeting to see when this would work.
Next would be do you want sponsors to help with the cost of t-shirts/prizes/incentives?
Do you want t-shirts?
Prizes?
If you have this during the day, what class will they miss?
Volunteers?
Can Middle or High school student council help?
Form??
Design?
Printing?
Possible contest for t-shirt?
Where? When? Rain date?
and that's off the top of my head!

We had a great time with our "successful failure". It snowed 2 inches the day before but we sold the t-shirts to make a $500 profit when school started in the fall!
:D

I would love to do a walk-a-thon this spring, during school hours. I'm just not sure how to set it up.

The coach does a fundraiser for "hoops for heart", so I don't want to step on his toes. I'd like to do this after FCAT testing. FCAT is our state's mandated test for 3rd and 5th graders as well as middle and high school.

The kids are really pressured and I thought that this would be a great incentive plus stress reliever.

Any help would be great!!
