I agree with you. I always wonder why a Parent doesn't want to get involved. The only thing I could come up with is they feel they are more busier then the rest of us or the same people will always be there to run everything, why bother. I wish there was a simple answer to this question, but I don't think it would ever be found.

I think every one who volunteers at something and puts their heart into it, feels they are the only one on that boat. But it is good to have a place like this to vent and know that other people feel the same way.

seem to have the same problem? Lack of parent involvement. Our school is small enrollment of 200 students Pre-K-12 and it is always the same 5 people doing everything to make things happen at school for all the students.

Do you every wonder why? What is wrong with parents today? I'm busy, but still involved. I have 4 kids, work 4 days a week, my father has alzhiemer's I help with him and take care of his bookkeeping, but yet I'm still involved with my kids school. Are you in that boat?

I have wrote 2 letters on our newsletter last year that we put out and yes, I offended a lot of people, but I just felt things needed to be said and I'm sure the ones I offended are the ones getting their toes stepped on!

So if you think I'm rambling, but sometimes we just need to vent!
