WE do pizza and ice cream for the 1st class with 100% membership. Any and all other classes with 100% membership get ice cream sundae parties.

We also have a great teaching staff that stay on top of how many didn't pay. They ALL want the ice cream parties so they really do remind the kids and make them mark it in their homework journals.

If Pizza is getting old ( we have been doing that one for ages at both our schools) try an ice cream party with toppings and all that fun stuff. We went to a "lunch" party last year with a cap of $75. We suggested MCDonalds Happy meals, hero sandwiches... whatever they wanted to do was fine but $75 was the cap on the dollar amount. The kids all loved it and the classes at both schools opted for the Happy meal deal!! We do an ice cream party for the class with the highest participation in our fall fundraiser. That was another huge hit. I think you have to shake it up once in a while and opt for some different choices so it doesn't get so "old - been there done that".

We are going to try filling a basket with school supplies and art supplies and giving that to the classroom with the highest membership %.

I don't know if it will work but that is what we are trying this year.

Good Luck!

Hello Everyone!
I am a co-president for our PTA. We are beginning our Membership Drive soon and I despartely need some ideas on how to receive new members? In the past we have provided a Pizza party to the classrooms with the highest percentage of members; however, that did not seem to go over as well last year as the year before. If anybody has ANY ideas on how to increase your membership I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
