Impeaching the pres.

Hey . . . how did you get MY life this time last year!!!

We had a similar situation but didn't discover her true personality until October! I spoke to her on two occasions and finally by the third one she agreed to resign.

It helped that she was going through some personal problems at the time so it was a bit easier for her to leave the mess she had made of PTO behind her.

Good luck to you and keep communication open to cover your bases and rear!

Our by laws requires a revising committee, but first it must be approved by the general members, I can't remember how much we state is needed for a quorum. Then after the revisions the changes must be accepted by the general members.

She kind of stepped into the position.
She wants to change the by-laws,,,is this legal? Don't you have to go to the voting board for approval?
People are sooo..burnt out that they do not want to fight or confront her, they just want to step away. But if they do, our PTO will suffer!

was she elected to the position or did she just"step" into it? Im not sure boycotting will do what you want it to, it might make all of you hard workers look bad. sometimes things like that backfire. Has anyone tried talking to her, do you have bylaws that state duties of everyone involved? Maybe if all of you"gang" up on her at a meeting to see what she is trying to accomplish by talking down on the PTO. Is your principal aware of this? I know from experience how hard it is to have people complain about you, but to have it come from your president..im not sure. One thing is that you need to stand strong yet dont let it get ugly....easier said than done

We have just gotten a new PTO pres.

She has already, in just a few short weeks, alienated all the people, past and present, who have worked so very hard to get the PTO where it is today.
She is bad mouthing everyone who has ever been involved in the PTO.
This has to stop, but she is on such a power trip that reasoning with her is not an option.

She has stated that she's not in it to make friends.
If what she is doing adversely affects the school and thus our kids, which it will, how do we stop her.
Parents have been talking about boycotting the meetings and not be participating in any activity!
She does not have the best interest of the school!
