Student-Run Bookstore

Student-Run Bookstore was created by CCassidy
At my local elementary school, the PTA has been running a student-run bookstore for the last several years during the students' lunch periods. We keep the books at a minimum cost so that the students can afford them. Books are priced from $1-$5 and we even sell various school supplies such as folders, pencils, erasers, etc. Students from K-3 can be either book critics or advertisers. Students from Grades 4-5 can be the cashiers, security or stock clerks at the bookstore as well as book critics or advertisers. The kids are given an application at the beginning of the year which they must fill out and return with their teacher's recommendation as well as their parent's signature. At the end of the semester when we bring in the new students to work at the bookstore, we give the first bunch of students who worked at the bookstore a pizza party. It really is a great success! If you'd like to get the application, flyer info - just e-mail me. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. [CODE]
