May 2-8 Teacher Appreciation Week is it the same for PTA and PTO

Yes, although National PTA initiated Teacher Appreciation week in 1984, (the first full week in May) it has grown to be done by groups in addition to PTA. There are some great ideas in these topics

And you can e-mail dcd for a gift idea list (I have it and am using some of the ideas for our Leader Appreciation Luncheon) but e-mail her. Do not post the request at the topic.

Yes its a national thing regardless of what your group is. We plan a week long event with things like a scavenger hunt before school, covering recess and lunch duty, gifts/treats on Friday, breakfast for them....all kindsa neat things

I just seen it as National PTA teacher app. Week. Our school has a PTO. Is it the same week or is it just an oversite that I only see PTA. Any suggestions of what you do for your teachers.
