school involvement policies

hi pals!
Boy did you open up a can of worms(or candy:) )with the parent involvement eval. If you e-mail me your address, I can mail you a copy of the parent involvement initiative that our district uses. You can have the advantage of seeing the full two years worth of work the committee put into it and maybe save you a lot of the legwork. A lot of it is based on the Standards of Parent Involvement from National PTA (two of the committee members are past state Presidents) that would also give you a lot of info.

Hi Guys...Okay I seem to have a HUGE chance of a lifetime...well maybe not quite that!! Anyways I have received the go ahead from our district(6 schools) to be the main parent behind a new parent involvement policy and school/parent compact=) What I am looking for are either your schools written policies/compacts or suggestions. We are a title one school so we have to meet requirements, but we can change the wording to be more parent friendly. Our present policy is dated December of 1996...Our group will be the forefront group behind this and we will be trying to get the other schools involved as well....any suggestions would be great!!! THANKS
