Too MANY volunteers?

Here's one for you--how do you handle the situation if you actually have too MANY people wanting to help! No, I don't live in some bizarro world ;) , we're not a bona fide PTO, but an association who is right now raising money for a playground. We're going to have to have a limited number of fundraisers and it looks like a LOT of people want to be a part of doing something good (for once!). I feel strongly that there should be a role for EVERYONE, but I also fear the inevitable "dis" if someone doesn't get THEIR fundraising idea chosen (we're having votes), or gets a role they feel is less worthy than they think. Any comments? (Keep it nice please ;) )!
