Thanks for all your suggestions.

I don't have Print Shop but apparently the computers at school do. It is a simple wall calendar that I'm looking to do. Each month gets a picture (drawn by kids...black and white) size 81/2 by 11 and then the bottom is also 8 1/2 by 11 and in the "blank squares" we write the question for the month that the kids answered. Then we insert their answers, one for each day. So the kids respond to 12 questions but they probably only have 1 or 2 of them placed in the calendar. Some kids only answer 1 or 2 questions....so we use what they give us. Others write wonderful answers to all the questions and we cull the best.

Oh, and this really isn't a functional calendar. I mean, there's no room to write anything else on it but it's really fun for the kids to look and see what others said...teachers hang it in their classrooms and parents bought it. All we have to pay for is the binder thingys...so we sell for $2 and make about $1.50 on each one. The kids can afford it themselves too.....so some bought it as presents for their parents last year.

Here are the questions the kids answered. The instructions were to answer in 1-2 complete sentences.

1. Do you make New Year's resolutions? What do you hope to do in 2004?

2. At what age do you think you should be allowed to date and why? When will you be allowed to have a boyfriend or girlfriend? (Middle school here....grades 6-8!)

3. Who is your hero and why?

4. What college do you think you'd like to go`to and what do you think you will study there?

5. What is the best book you've ever read? Why did you like it?

6. What will you miss most about this school year?

7. If you could go on vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

8. What do you think you'll be doing in 10 years?

9. What's the most exciting thing about starting a new school year? What is the scariest?

10. Do you still dress up for Halloween? How old is too old to trick-or-treat?

11. What makes you the most thankful or grateful?

12. What was the best gift you ever received? Who gave it to you and what made it so special?

Our school has Printshop(maybe it is printmaster) by Broderbund. It has SEVERAL disks. But I have the Printmaster Silver 12 by Broderbund. It is basically the same thing just more for end-users. It has thousands of clipart(seems like it anyway) and you can make calendars, cards, posters, banners, party invites. I really like mine. I bought it for personal reasons but I ended up using it more for PTO stuff. Best of all it is cheap!

The mom that used to to our calendars used a program from Microsoft. She said it costs about $30.00 or so. Plus the thing about buying a disk is that you can usually go to the company website and update them.

Yes, I'd like to know a little more about what you are talking about too. Sounds interesting.

Can you explain more what type of template you are seeking and how the questions fit in? I sounds like you might be talking about a traditional wall calendar with one month per page and a day block big enough to insert the questions.

Regardless, Microsoft has a variety of free download templates (probably for use with Word).

Go to: office.microsoft.com/home/

From the left side, select "Templates"

You'll see a link for Calendars and Planners.

They have a variety of choices.

Calendar template?? was created by Myanna1723
Hi there,

We have received a donation of paper from a local paper company (heavy stock) to do a schoolwide calendar on.

Does anyone know where I can find a calendar template? We came up with 12 questions for the kids to answer and I have 860 questionaires to cull answers from! We put one student's response in each day. But I need to figure out how to do this!

We sold the calendars for $2 last year and they seemed to be a nice gift for the kids to get for their parents.

Any help would be great!
