Antoher thing you can do is have a fluorescent light and stamp them with a rubber stamp that you can put under the light. Kids think that is so cool.

This sounds like a great idea. What is the targeted age for this dance? are parents invited?

Problems I forsee is the line of people trying to get the wrist bands on and then trimming off the excess (I've seen this in public museums) and then the wrist bands are itchy and some little kids want them off.

Or, I LOST mine, Mrs. Cleaver, can I have food anyway....

Have them pay $5 at the door and then rubber stamp their hand (or forehead, or ??) at each station to signify that they picked up their food/beverage/snack.

This may be much quicker - one size fits all, and it can't get lost.

If they're going to one table to get their food, just hand them a receipt/ticket at the door and they turn them over when they get their food. No need to punch anything. Then the workers will have a box to put them in to keep track.

I have never tried the wristband idea for a dance before, You can get wristbands from novelty stores like Oriental Traiding, or Rhode Island Novelty

Our PTO will be hosting the first school dance (and probably the only school dance) and someone has suggested the "one fee for a limited number of expenses". Example: Pay $5.00 and get admission to the dance, one slice of pizza, one drink and a choice of snack. We would keep track of the students items by punching a hole to signify the particular item. Does this really work? Doesn't it eliminate the handling of cash? And most importantly, where in the world can these things be purchased?
