I understand your discouragment I'm going through some myself but keep you focus on why we
do all this. I'ts for our kids, and for the parents and for those who understand the importance of parental involvment in education.
Someone told me in the begining of this pto adventure that I couldnt appreciate at the time but its clear to me now. WE FUND RAISE TO EXSIST.
WE DOENT EXSIST TO FUNDRAISE.

I forgot the real thing i wanted to tell you, its suppost to be fun! Were doing this for our kids, I'm a second term president and we had a large negative force last year, but we kept our spirts high and those people didnt come back this year!!

I believe that you need the support of your teachers. Dont sell the same thing choose something different. Were going to do See's candle for valentines day, which is totally new - work with the teachers, have a meeting, ask what you can do to help them? Our teachers only do one funderaiser a mathathon in the fall and they do baskets for our silent auction in the fall. We ask for their input as to where the fundraising monies would benefit the school. You shouldnt quit, just do something different that whats been done in the past, make them appreciate you and your volunteers! Good Luck.

This is my first year as President. I have been on the board for several years however. That being said, Teachers are complaining that the PTO does has fundraisers that interfer with their grade level fundraisers. They run their funraisers from Nov-March. They also are complaining because we have a raffle and a candle sale and they also do. NOW my Volunteer coordinator tells me that some people have been complaining to her that we are doing too much and maybe we should scale back. AND THE APATHY IS UNREAL. I had such high hope for this year NOW I am thinking about resigning. Any suggestion or just support would be appreciated
