Homeroom Parent Form

How about adding some clip art - including something like a young child (with a thoughtful expression) with a speech bubble that says "I wish my Mom or Dad was a room parent".....or something that says "We Need You!"

Make sure you inform prospective head room parents that that they will "coordinate" parties - not do everything themselves and that experienced room parents from PTO are available for guidance if necessary. Sometimes the person that is organized & efficient enough to handle the job is a working parent. That could work out fine. They can organize the parties & organize which parents bring food or run the games...even if they can't make the party themself that day - it's still viable.

I hope you find something to help. It's a shame when no one signs up.

It is time to send out our request for homeroom parent volunteers. For the most part, their only responsibility is to coordinate and host the three classroom parties we are allowed each year: Fall Festival, Holiday and Valentine's Day. I sat in last year on the selection process and was amazed at how few people wanted to do this. Some classes had no volunteers. Our form is rather blah and uninspiring and I'm looking to jazz it up a bit. Any ideas? Examples? Thanks!
