sorry, my browser stopped liking this website for some reason... an ASB is an Associated Student Body. Remember having an "ASB Card" in high school maybe? It's got an elected student government. Beyond that, I think you know about as much as I do.

OK, I'll bite. At the risk of looking like a fool, what's an ASB??

I'm the treasurer of our group. Our school began an ASB this year. From a fundraising/finance point of view, which group handles what, I think especially in relation to individual clubs, such as Chess Club? I don't feel like I've been given a really clear picture here, but I've been told by administrators, ASB members, staff, etc.."No, I think ASB handles this or that now...", but no one has a clear definition of what falls to which group. And who decided this anyways? Are there tax/non-profit rules at play here or is just somthing that's a matter of district or ASB policy. I really don't know much about ASBs at all. How do I book-keep this? Or do I just turn the club records and monies over to the ASB treasurer (if I ever find out who that is)?
